School starts in 5 days, and my first event for AYCW is coming up on Sunday! The event is called MAINSTAGE and it is basically a fair with free food, music, and information on student groups and organizations. Because I am on executive board in PRSSA, the president is allowing me to hang a banner and pass out AYCW? flyers at the PRSSA table. Unfortunately, if I wanted my own AYCW? table, it would have cost me 75 dollars. However, sharing a table with PRSSA will hopefully draw more attention to me!
As for the video I have been trying to work on, I had a phone conversation with Greg, the person I may have make the video, and we discussed more ideas. The video is going to consist of humorous but realistic situations of what a college student would go through if they weren't credit wise. Some of these situations include getting a 400 dollar credit card bill from the Kohls charge card they forgot they opened, over-drafting on a bank account, taking out a student loan with 50 percent interest, etc. I am getting really excited for this video, and can't wait to finalize some ideas and come up with a story board!
My AYCW internship is coming along good so far, I can't wait to see how this Sunday goes at MAINSTAGE.
